ST PETE - QUEENSRŸCHE frontman Todd La Torre will release his debut solo album, "Rejoice In The Suffering", on February 5 via Rat Pak Records. The official music video for the disc's latest single, "Crossroads To Insanity", is now out. The clip is set in a mental institution, where a sane man faces the threshold of his own sanity due to the confinement. While the track might seem reminiscent of the work Todd is most known for, the song builds to a fiery guitar solo delivered by Todd's songwriting partner Craig Blackwell where it showcases the sound that is all his own.
TAMPA, FL - Thomas Crane, formerly of Marion Crane, now killDevil Films, an independent film production company in Florida, is an artist in a class all his own. His dark visions and horror aesthetics literally bleed from the screen post-production. The immense catalog of music videos and artists he’s worked with has only grown exponentially year by year, with absolutely no signs of slowing down.

PITTSBURGH, PA - After just watching the latest teaser for the upcoming Losing September video “Curse the Sky”, I’m on pins and needles. “Curse The Sky” is the sequel, and aftermath, to their latest release “Contagious” and they’ve once again partnered with Kill Devil Films to bring the darkness that lies inside the mind of vocalist Bruce Fane, to life.
When you see video teasers from bands it’s often a melody that sticks in your mind. The theme of this one comes across like the latest horror movie release.

TAMPA FL - What could best be described as a roundhouse kick of rock to the face, Red Calling’s “Taker of Breath” is aptly titled. Drawing on the melodically-centered and symphonic qualities of European rock groups like Lacuna Coil- and then throwing in some good ole metal energy reminiscent of Korn- the Tampa, Florida-based group deliver a sound that is as aggressive as it is haunting and undeniably catchy.

After years of directing music videos and doing video production, the singer for Marion Crane, called on friends and associated to help his company, killDevil Films, develop and shoot Halloween Party, a 38-minute short horror film, which was inspired by the likes of Psycho and The Shining.
The end result, which intersperses color and black and white, is rich in atmosphere, dark in tone, and benefits substantially from its leading man, Sean Michael Gloria, who gained national exposure earlier this year in Followers, a low-budget found-footage feature shot in Pinellas County.

HORROR ASYLUM - There are clearly echoes of "Psycho" peppered throughout the movie. The performances are solid for such a low-budget production and Gloria himself deserves a lot of credit for managing to make his character both likeable yet deceivingly enigmatic. HALLOWEEN PARTY is accompanied by a surprisingly effective score, composed neatly by Frederic Bernard, and it gives the whole experience a real retro feel, dinking in and out of almost recognisable horror-esque themes and styles yet managing to expertly keep the right level of tension in place where necessary.

INDIE SHORTS MAG - Preparing the feast, getting dressed up and trick-or-treating may excite any person but Thomas Crane’s Ben. As the director, editor and writer of the film, Crane gives such a twist to an as-it-is spooky celebration, that perhaps Halloween will never feel the same. "Halloween Party" engages the audience in not only delving into the origins of the festival but also into their own psyche to find if there’s a Ben hiding in there…

DOWNSOUTH - First, I'd like to say I thought this was extremely well shot and edited coming from an independent filmmaker. And the story is top notch with a few twists and turns...Overall, I really enjoyed this film and story. I would really love to see what Crane and killDevil Films has in store for us next, hopefully a full-length movie in the near future.
